![]() Sorry if this is off topic, please delete this if its a problem. I will do what I can to supply AIR with information so that we wont have do go thru' above channels to import all the great patches out there. I am reporting this to AIR as well and have been talking to Wolfram there. Loading times on all the converted patches is NOT as long as standard Structure patches but the reason for that, is that Structure patches have quite a few FX applied to them. And I thought I'd share it with all of you having had problems with getting samples into Structure and have them sounding like they should. I dont have a clue why it works, in this tangled way, but it does. At least they sound exactly the same as in Kontakt 2. ![]() I would say that 90% of them are sounding good but without the scripting feature of Kontakt 3. When done, with Kontakt 2 - do a batch re-save on the folder you just imported. You might have to tell K2 where the samples are located. When done, open Kontakt 2 and browse to the, newly translated folder with the kontakt 2 file browser. Then in the translator tab select Reason NN-XT Program and designate your folders. Open Translator 5.9 Buid 65 (Latest build) and browse to the Kontakt 3 patch or folder you want to import. This is a little more tricky as K3 uses scripting and advanced programming for many patches, which will get lost in translation. ![]() _ _ _Īs a little bonus, I have figured out a way to Import Kontakt 3 patches into Structure as well. I have tried comparing the converted patches with the originals and they match great and they play great. In most cases all you have gotta do is go to the Filter tab of the part and remove the cutoff filter which has been mysteriously applied. In very few cases the sound, sounded weird. I have also converted many GIGA samples which are loading just fine. From Heart of Africa(AKAI) to Vienna Symphonic Orchestra (EXS24). Structure has, as of now, been able to load and play all the patches I have made (about 150 GB) perfectly well. Voila - you are good to go.Įither, simply drag one of the batch re-saved patches from the Finder into Structure or put an alias of the folder into your Structure favorites for easy access from the patch load menu. Select it and wait for Kontakt 2 to finish. Now navigate to the folder you just converted with CDXtract. If you try to load it into to Structure now you will failĢ) Open Kontakt 2, and hit batch re-save from the load/save menu. AKAI, EXS24, GIGA you name it - into important NKI which is NI Format There has been VERY little errors and those who were there, could be easily fixed.ġ) Convert ANYTHING that CDXtract is capable of converting. I have now converted half of my entire sample library to perfect sounding Structure patches. But today, I thought I'd try a few alternatives. I have found a pretty bullet proof way of converting just about anything into great sounding Structure patches.Ģ ) Kontakt 2 ( I know, but it is necessary ) Sometimes it's good being such stubborn SOAB :D This has led to a busy and varied career playing all sorts of different early flutes in music from the Renaissance, through Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Rossini, Brahms, Wagner to Tchaikovsky and Mahler. It was whilst studying modern flute at Guildhall School that Lisa heard a lunchtime recital given by Stephen Preston the simplicity, beauty & expressive power of the one-keyed, wooden instrument played by such a master made a huge impression on her. She completely fell in love with the new sound world and the possibilities it opened for understanding and playing baroque music, and went on to study baroque and classical flutes with Stephen Preston and harpsichord continuo with David Roblou. In her dual capacities as soloist and orchestral principal, she has travelled throughout Europe, Asia and North and South America, playing a wide range of 18th and 19th century repertoire with some of its finest interpreters. My favourite music making has always been playing with wonderful singers.Born in England of Ukranian/Irish descent Lisa Beznosiuk is one of the world’s leading performers on early flutes. What’s your favourite part about being in an ensemble like OBS? In his cantatas, on the other hand, Bach sometimes used the flute for setting the most gentle moments (such as Benedictus in the B minor Mass or Aus Liebe in the St Matthew Passion) and sometimes for the most glorious ones such as doubling the trumpets in Magnificat and Gloria! What are the biggest challenges as a flautist when performing Bach’s repertoire?Īlthough wonderful, Bach’s flute repertoire is very much “testing its limit”! As most compositions kept within 2 octaves of the best range for Baroque flutes, Bach wrote his A minor partita BWV 1013 with the highest note A as well as a low middle C (presumably on a C-foot flute)! He is never afraid to use tricky tonalities or chromatic scales either! Furthermore, Bach is not a wind player himself and seldom considered places for breathing…! Flautists always debate fervently about where to breath within his gorgeous patterns and sequences without disturbing the music. In 1860 Paris Conservatoire officially took up the silver Boehm-system flute, which has prevailed for most of the modern musical world today.īach wrote wonderful instrumental pieces for the flute such as sonatas, trio sonatas and orchestral suites, in which he explored both technical and musical aspects of the instrument. During the first half of the nineteenth century, flute makers tried out all kinds of designs with various combinations of materials (such as porcelain, ivory, glass and metal), bores (conical and cylinder) and key systems. The one-keyed conical-bore flute has evolved into more keys and narrower bore in order to accommodate more complex music as well as bigger venues during the classical periods. How has the flute evolved since the Baroque era? ![]() In this case, the flute has naturally strong D-major notes and weaker cross-fingering notes which gives the instrument beautiful colours. The basic scale/fingerings is in D major and we use cross fingerings for the notes outside D major scale. The conical bore creates much more mellow and gentle sounds than metal modern flutes. ![]() ![]() The Baroque flute is made of various hard wood (boxwood, ebony or granadilla etc.) with one key. Our latest newsletter is by Yu-Wei Hu on the flute! (Main image by Aiga Ozo) What are the essential features and sound of the flute? Find out more about some of the instruments played by our ensemble in our new series, Bach’s Band. "So there are some things are built-in doing a high school show that felt like, OK this is time," she added. What is going on here? Also, the actors get older and it starts looking insane that a 34-year-old is playing a 15-year-old." Like, you've been in high school for 12 years. Read on for what we know about Devi's final year of high school, and the Netflix hit's final season. ![]() The season ends before we see whether Devi and Ben hook up, but new episodes are already on the way. After two seasons that saw Sherman Oaks student Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) balance high school romance and familial grief, season 3 followed the overachiever as she learns to love herself during her short-lived romances with her big crush Paxton (Darren Barnet) and new addition Des (Anirudh Pisharody).īy the end of the season, Devi makes two huge decisions: to stay in Sherman Oaks with her friends and family for senior year, and to lose her virginity to enemy-turned-possible-lover Ben (Jaren Lewison). Following the release of the third season of Never Have I Ever, fans binged all 10 episodes, finishing with a cheer of joy (or anguish) for that huge romantic cliffhanger. |
